The blessing of FlockHosting is quite simply its not a company that requires authorization from a supervisor or manager to issue some free resources — when you hit some popularity other companies are out to make a big buck and say “Overages!” here at FlockHosting, I’m blessed to not have that issue, grace is issued and the Good Faith Upgrade is applied.
How it Works
So say in a month you get some of the common problems:

Someone links to your Video/Audio/Page – Takes up all your bandwidth!

Your site is simply growing faster than you ever expected!
Well even with just those few, why should you be punished for being popular? Well that’s where I’ve been blessed to apply to customers a Good Faith Upgrade.
Your storage or bandwidth will temporarily be adjusted for a month or so to see if this was a one time spike, or if congrats are in order and your site is indeed becoming more and more popular and you need the additional storage/bandwidth – this gives you time to adjust your budget and in 2-3 months upgrade your package to the next level if needed – but if things subside and your back within limits, your back to your original plan and crisis averted! No billion dollars in overages required!
Why do you do this?
It’s simply the way I think as Christians we should be, in my own life I feel God has blessed Me richly, who am I not to extend blessings and grace to folks!
How do I get it?
Usually when you hit a limit, if you cross bandwidth limits, the site will be disabled automatically by the server, just open a ticket and let me know! I try to stay on top of overages, or even if possible get ahead of them but sometimes I miss them, just open a support ticket and I’ll lend a hand.
Do bear in mind again – this is a temporary thing, if your site is indeed growing and an upgrade of resources is needed I’ll work with you to get things squared away.
